Tawakkol Abdel-Salam Karman

Hello guys! :)

On this blog I am going to speak about one important person around the peace size. We made a table with some Nobel winners in teams of four. I have chosen Tawakkol, because she won a very popular prize, a Nobel Peace Price, after her hard work that she do, on 2011.

Tawakkol Abdel-Salam Karman was born in 1979, the daughter of Abdul-Salam Karman, former Minister of Legal and Parliamentary Affairs and an activist himself.

Also, was, and is, nowadays, very famous because of her strong promoter of human rights and freedom of the press since 2005 in a country dominated by an oppressive and corrupt regime. Tawakkol Karman, participated in organizing the protests in the early months of 2011 and became a leading voice during the uprisings.

Karman is a liberal Islamist who has faced harassment and death threats, and made the sacrifice to separate from her family, including her three children, in order to fight for women's rights and press freedom. As I have said before, Karman was awarded the 2011 Nobel Peace Price.

They gave a nobel prize to her, and also to other journalists like for example: Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and Leymah Gbowee. They got this, for their non-violent struggle for the safety of women and for women's rights to full participation in peace-building work.

Here, I let you a video, where we can see a notice that they gave in the TV. There, appear Tawakkol when she was given the award, a very important moment..

2011 - Tawakkol

To finish with this, I can say that Tawakkol Karman, the Yemeni political activist, changed the world completely. She fought a lot of, and she got all the ideas clear; because of this, she won those Nobel Prize, a great gift, really deserved.

THE OPPOSITE WAY

Hi guys !! Here we have a story that we have done in our class, all my friends of ICT have taken part on this and I think that the result is very positive. The homosexuality, a romantic attraction or sexual attraction between members of the same sex or gender, is an actual and special topic in our society, so my friend Miren and I have chosen this affair because we are in favour of that. Enjoy it!

There was a lovely day when lots of people gathered in favour of homosexuality in London. All the population was excited at that day; some of them were prepared to fight in favour of homosexuality and the others were against it. There was a big group of people in the centre of the square, shouting and defending their hard situation; there, around the group of people, there was situated Gemma, a Bolivian woman who left her town and arrived in London with the expectation of changing the situation of homosexuality in the world.

Gemma was tall and thin, she looked like a model, and her hair was blond and curly. She was waiting to her girlfriend, Sarah, this was the contrary of Gemma, she was little, her hair was black and straight. Both, Gemma and Sarah were in love, so they were prepared to get the homosexuality be common. Sarah arrived to the Trafalgar Square ten minutes later than the hour that they were going to meet. Gemma was starting to worry when Sarah arrived.

The Trafalgar Square was crowded of people who were fighting for the right of the Homosexual people. Gemma was in the first line and Sarah was crazily trying to find her couple. When the demonstration started, Gemma got worried of her girlfriend while the police surrounded the square. In that way, the people wouldn’t advance. The homo people started shouting and pushing to the police. At first because the meeting for the rights for the Homo people was legal, and suddenly it became illegal. The police started hitting Gemma and she fell down hurt by a stone. She wasn’t seen by anyone.

She was completely worried, she didn’t know what to do. Later, she felt a big explosion and before she could realise that the explosion was her head, she made dizzy and fall in the raw floor of the hiding narrow street located in the square. When she woke up Gemma was in the old room of a road motel. She noticed that she hadn’t got anything that she had the date before. She knew that her girlfriend didn’t carry her there; so, she thought that somebody had kidnapped her. Quietly she took the phone and she called to the police, also she tried to call to Sarah. However, she didn’t get to speak as the telephone line was out of service.

Then a man appeared, he was tall, and he wore a black jacket. Gemma got paralyzed when she saw him, he smiled.

-Don’t be afraid of me, I found you bleeding on the floor and I brought you here.

When she heard that, she brought her hand to the head to see if she was injured. She realised that it was true.

-When you feel better, I will take you home.- said the man

-I don’t want to go home, I want to see if my girlfriend is alright. I need to get information about what happened in the demonstration.
-I saw a girl standing next to you when you were unconscious. She went to me, asking me if I would stand next to you while you were there. Meanwhile she went to continue with the demonstration, I was waiting for her for a long time but she didn’t appear, so I decided to bring you here. I don’t know what happened to her.

Gemma was disappointed due to her couple didn’t help her when she was injured and she didn’t want to know anything about her. She decided to sleep a bit more because of her tiredness. When she woke up, the bot was already there, taking care of her. They started speaking about their life while they ate something and they felt very well each of them with the other.

The boy was called John, and he was 23. He told Gemma his hard life that he spent when he was a child, living in a small town near California. His mother died when he was 5 and his father suicided when he was 7. Almost all his life he spent in a orphanage and when he was 18, he was able to live alone a new life, in London. Gemma was surprised with his story, and she started to fall in love with John, forgetting completely Sarah.

She confessed him her feelings and she proposed him to start from scratch a new and fantastic life together.

Social networks

Hello readers!

Today, I am going to write about social websites that the young people use nowadays.

The websites are the place on the world wide that contains a information about a person, organisation, etc., and that usually consists of many web pages joined by hyperlinks. This famous websites, become a very important pages of Internet for us.

There are a lot, but only I am going to mention some of them.

1) Whatsapp

WhatsApp Messenger is a proprietary, cross-platform instant messaging subscription service for smartphones. In addition to text messaging, users can send each other images, video, and audio media messages. I think that this application is the most used speaking about young people of 14-19 years. Nowadays all the youngsters have this and they are very happy with the using. In my opinion the WhatsApp is now a very important application that everybody have in each phone.

2) Twitter

Twitter is an online social networking and microblogging service that enables users to send and read "tweets", which are text with limited messages.Registered users can read and post tweets but unregistered users can only read them. Twitter is used by people from all around the world. About this, I can say that is a very good website because you can find people very easily, comparing with another networks.

3) Facebook

Facebook is an online social networking service. Its name stems from the colloquial name for the book given to students at the start of the academic year by some American university administrations to help students get to know one another. The Facebook is the biggest network around the world, a lot of people use it. Like the twitter you can find people from all around.

 4) Instagram

Instagram is an online photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures and videos, apply digital filters to them, and share them on a variety of social networking services, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr. This website is practically to raise your photos or videos. A lot of people around me use and also I have it, and at moment I can say that is a very good network and very easy to use and to edit our photos.

5) Tuenti

Tuenti is a Spain-based, social networking service, that has been referred to as the "Spanish Facebook." Though the name sounds similar to the English word twenty, it actually comes from "tu [id]enti[dad]," meaning "your identity". Tuenti is basically a Spanish network. Starting with childrens of 11 or 12 years to adults of 60 years they have an account of Tuenti.

6) Tumblr

Tumblr, stylized in its logo as tumblr., is a microblogging platform and social networking website founded by David Karp and owned by Yahoo! Inc. The service allows users to post multimedia and other content to a short-form blog. Tumblr is not very used in Spain but in foreign countries they use it a lot. This network, is not very used like others but is very easy and fast to share your music, videos, photos and things like that.

There are some advantages and  disadvantages with those and more social networks.

- Advantages: You can speak with the foreign people by easy way. You can find people and know about them.

- Disadvantages: Some people raise personal photos and it could be very dangerous because everyone can take it or also download.

We can say that WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook and Tuenti are the most used speaking about young people. The instagram is also very used, but mostly the mayority of users are adults. Tumblr as I have sayed before, is a foreign network.. but I have heard that it permits to post multimedia, texts, videos.. so lets we start using here, in Spain!

Nature and exotic places

Hello people around the world!

Today, I am going to speak about one topic that in my opinion is so interesting and also funny. Here we have some of the exotic places I have found. Let's start !!!

 - The Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is a unique national forest park located in Zhangjiajie City in northern Hunan  Province in the People's Republic of China. It is one of several national parks within the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. This park is specially aimed at the people who love the natural world.

 - Sandy Cay, British Virgin Islands Sandy Cay is an uninhabited island of the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. It is located between Tortola and Jost Van Dyke. The island is owned by the Laurance Rockefeller Estate; however, the estate is in the Process of handing the island over to the B.V.I. National Parks Trust. This small nature preserve in the British Virgin Islands is great for snorkeling and swimming, thanks to crystal-clear water and a shallow reef. This exotic place is really good for the people that want to sunbathe.
